The BV-classed WillChallenge has a length of 22 metres, a beam of nine metres, and a draught of two metres. Two Caterpillar C18 447kW main engines deliver a bollard pull of 14.8 tonnes and a speed of 11 knots.

The onboard equipment consists of a Heila 140-4S deck crane, a 50-tonne split drum anchor handling and towing winch, and a 10 tonne tuggerwinch.

Amenities include three cabins that can house a total of six people, a bathroom, a shower, and a mess. The wheelhouse also has ample space for survey equipment.

The vessel will be used for supply, survey, research support, anchor handling, and general towing duties.
