Boluda Towage Europe, through German subsidiary Boluda Deutschland, has been awarded contract for maritime rescue services in the Baltic Sea.

The contract awarded by the German Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (Wasser- und Schifffahrtsverwaltung des Bundes; WSV) has a firm period of two years and is renewable up to three years.

As part of the contract, Boluda's anchor handling tug supply vessel (AHTS) Bremen Fighter will operate out of the Port of Sassnitz on the island of Rügen, from where any emergency rescue operations can be launched after sea state monitoring.
