Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Denmark-based global fund manager Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) have established a new 50:50 joint venture company that will specialise in the development of offshore wind projects.
The JV will concentrate on an area in the waters off Hokkaido, Japan, which both companies claim feature conditions that are ideal for offshore wind.
The new company is MHI's second offshore wind-oriented JV after MHI Vestas Offshore Wind.
