INEOS Breagh chartered two multi-role emergency response and rescue vessels from the Aberdeen-based Sentinel Marine as part of a £110 million (US$146 million) investment in its operations in the North Sea.
The 61-metre-long Forties Sentinel and Sentinel Ranger, built by Sentinel Marine, will support INEOS's operations in the Breagh gas field by assisting with logistics and protecting workers.
The Breagh gas field is about 65 kilometres offshore northeast England.
The Forties Sentinel was officially named by Ylva Tuft, the wife of INEOS Oil and Gas Chief Executive Officer Geir Tuft, at a ceremony in Great Yarmouth before being deployed.
