Norway's TGS has begun a new survey in the MSGBC Basin offshore northwest Africa.
The project covers over 4,500 square kilometres and is being undertaken in partnership with UK-based GeoPartners and Senegal state-owned oil company Petrosen.
BGP Prospector, a vessel owned by China's BGP, is being used to carry out the survey.
