Shearwater GeoServices Holding has completed the acquisition of the marine seismic acquisition assets and operations of WesternGeco, the geophysical services product line of Schlumberger.
The transaction worth US$600 million has increased Shearwater's fleet of seismic vessels to 14.
Shearwater now also holds a portfolio of proprietary technologies and inhouse processing software acquired from WesternGeco.
