Fugro and L3 ASV to develop autonomous survey vehicles

Dutch survey company Fugro has partnered with unmanned systems developer L3 ASV to create a series of autonomous vessels for the commercial survey market.

The unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) will be optimised for medium- to large-scale hydrographic survey applications.

Delivery of the first USV is scheduled for the second quarter of 2019.
