Germany's Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (Das Bundesamt für Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie; BSH) has awarded Fugro a multi-annual geotechnical site investigation contract in the German North Sea and Baltic Sea.
The programme will be completed in three phases over the next three years and comprises geotechnical investigations at potential offshore wind farm development areas.
The total contract value is approximately €25 million (US$27.6 million).
Commencement of the project is in mid-September. Fugro's survey department will provide unexploded ordnance (UXO) services before the company's dedicated geotechnical drilling vessels Fugro Scout (pictured) and Gargano execute the fieldwork.
