Eneti, through one of its wholly owned direct subsidiaries, has entered into a binding agreement with Marubeni Corporation and Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL), under which Eneti will acquire 100 per cent of UK-based Atlantis Investorco, the parent company of Seajacks International.

The acquisition will make Eneti the world's largest operator of wind turbine installation vessels (WTIVs) with a fleet size of six. This number includes one newbuilding scheduled for delivery in 2024.

The company expects the transaction to close by mid-August 2021. Upon closing, existing Eneti shareholders will own 58 per cent of Eneti and the sellers will own 42 per cent.
