Eastern Shipbuilding delivers ‘HOS Black Foot’

Eastern Shipbuilding Group has announced the delivery of the 'HOS Black Foot' to Hornbeck Offshore Services ahead of schedule and on budget.

The 'HOS Black Foot' is Eastern's sixth of ten OSVs under contract and the second vessel designated HOSMAX 310-series by Hornbeck Offshore. She measures 92 metres in length, with a beam of 19.5 metres and a depth of 7.9 metres.

Each vessel features a diesel-electric propulsion package consisting of four Tier III Caterpillar generators, twin GE-furnished Hyundai electric motors, and twin Schottel Z-drive propulsion units. Schottel also provided two fixed-pitch tunnel thrusters.

The 6,144DWT vessel has a fuel capacity of 1,081m3, a drillwater/ballast capacity of 2,300m3, a potable water capacity of 236m3, a liquid mud capacity of 3,420m3, a methanol capacity of 352m3 and a dry bulk capacity of 406m3. For cargo supply, the vessel has a clear deck area of 1,034m2.
