Equinor Energy has been given consent by Norway's Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA) to carry out exploration drilling in block 30/2 in the North Sea.

The drilling will take place northwest of the Huldra gas and condensate field at a water depth of 142 metres. Seadrill's semi-submersible drilling rig West Hercules will be used for the work.

Equinor estimates that the drilling will take three days, starting in early 2020.
