James Fisher and Sons has launched a new business unit for serving clients in the renewables sector.
Under the James Fisher Renewables brand, the company will support pure-play renewables developers, marine civil constructors, and oil and gas clients in accelerating the transition to renewable energy while maintaining their respective existing energy infrastructure. Services to be offered by the new business unit include site preparation, unexploded ordnance (UXO) survey and disposal, cabling and HV commissioning management, and operations and maintenance.
Concurrently, James Fisher has commenced operations of James Fisher Subtech, a new business unit to accommodate clients in segments including oil and gas, nearshore marine civil engineering, and rapid response and salvage.
Jonathan Parkes, Divisional Strategy, Sales and Commercial Director of James Fisher Marine Contracting Division said that one of the goals of the new business units is to provide specialist capability to enable clients in the offshore renewables sector to execute complex energy projects in harsh environments.
