A consortium formed by four companies including Fincantieri Infrastructure Opere Marittime, Webuild, Fincosit, and Sidra will construct a new breakwater for the Port of Genoa on Italy's Ligurian Sea coast.

Ordered by the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority, the new breakwater will allow safe access to the port to container ships up to 450 meters long, double the size of those passing today.

The construction works will consist of two phases and are part of the extraordinary recovery action plan of the port. The works will be co-financed by the Italian government.
