Dutch marine projects company Van Oord formally named its newest trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) in a ceremony in Rotterdam on Saturday, June 4.

Vox Ariane has a length of 138 metres, a beam of 28 metres, and a hopper capacity of approximately 10,500 cubic metres. It is also the first hopper vessel in the Van Oord fleet to be equipped with an LNG fuel system.

The TSHD was built by Keppel Singmarine of Singapore and delivered in April 2022. Two other TSHDs from the same series, Vox Alexia and Vox Apolonia, are under various stages of construction.
