Van den Herik secures dredging contract in Poland

The Maritime Office in Szczecin has awarded a contract to Netherlands-based Van den Herik for dredging and port construction works in the City of Police in Poland.

The contract calls for deepening the approach track on the Police Channel to 10.5 metres and widening in the bottom up to 100 metres. It also covers the deepening and widening of the Kiełpiń Canal up to three metres deep and 25 metres wide as well as strengthening the slope of the Kiełpiński Ostrów island.

The work is expected to be completed by the end of 2020.
