Russia's Rosmorport has inaugurated a recently completed deep-water pier at the KSK grain terminal in the Port of Novorossiysk.
The length of the new pier is 309 metres while its area is nearly 7,700 square metres. The draught has been set at 16.9 metres to accommodate bulk carriers with up to 50,000 tonnes of grain-carrying capacity.
Rosmorport said the completed facility will help increase the port's annual grain cargo turnover from 2.5 million tonnes to four million tonnes.
Although the KSK pier has already begun welcoming vessels, dredging works will continue at the site to remove approximately 218,000 cubic metres of material.
