The Maldives government, through state-owned Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), has completed reclamation and shore protection works at K. Guraidhoo Picnic Island in Kaafu Atoll.
The works involved the reclamation of 1.7 hectares of land and the construction of a 278-metre rock boulder revetment and a 160-metre rock boulder groyne.
The total value of the project is approximately MVR13.4 million (US$867,500).
