Keppel Offshore and Marine (Keppel O&M), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Singmarine, has delivered a new trailing suction hopper dredger (TSHD) to Jan De Nul Group.

Afonso de Albuquerque, as well as two other sisters expected to be delivered within the second quarter of 2019, was designed to be an ultra-low emission TSHD that will comply with EU Stage V standards for inland waterway vessels.

The BV-classed dredger was built at Keppel's shipyard in Nantong, China. It has a hopper capacity of 3,500 cubic metres and will be able to dredge to a maximum depth of 27.6 metres.
