Dredge Yard has received an order for a customised cutter suction dredger (CSD) from Western Potash Corporation (WPC), a development stage potash company based in Canada.
The vessel's equipment will be driven by four electric motors to ensure reduced air and noise pollution as well as to eliminate the risk of fuel spillage during operation.
The CSD is in the process of being built at Dredge Yard's facility in Rotterdam. It will be tested and delivered to WPC in early 2020.
