Brazilian marine contractor Constructora Vale Verde has placed an order a new cutter suction dredger to be supplied by the Damen Shipyards Group.
The vessel will be the second dredger in a series to be ordered by Vale Verde. The first CSD, Amsterdam, was delivered in 2019.
The second dredger will be named Holanda. Like its sister, it will be a fully dismountable, stationary dredger fitted out for operation by just one crewmember and with a rated dredging depth of nine metres.
The CSD will also be road-transportable.
