Seawork 2020 to focus on commercial marine jobs
Published on

Thursday, June 11, the final day of Seawork 2020, is designated Maritime Skills Day. It will feature exciting new initiatives such as a commercial marine "reality chat" for younger visitors, a skills "question time"-style forum and careers networking.

The commercial marine "reality chat" will put young adults working in the industry in the hot seat to face questions from visiting students about their experiences and path into the commercial marine industry.

For those looking to change careers or reskill the question session will offer a panel of leaders in the commercial marine industry, resettlement and career change experts, government, training, education and recruitment representatives, all keen to take questions and offer job or career solutions.

The exhibition also offers an easy route to a wider range of exhibitors via its Maritime Training and Careers Trail. Already confirmed on the trail are ABB, BAE Systems, Seaplant, SeaRegs Training and You & Sea.
