Pella launches second Project 1701 freezer trawler for Fest Group

Russia's Pella Shipyard has launched Lev, the second of two freezer trawlers to be built under Project 1701 for local fishing company Fest Group.

Once completed, the ice class vessel will have an LOA of 61 metres, a beam of 14 metres, a draught of 5.9 metres, a displacement of 3,100 tonnes, and a crew of 38. One 3,480kW engine will deliver a speed of 13.5 knots.

Onboard equipment and facilities will include a four-tonne crane with 16-metre boom, a 1,200-cubic-metre fish hold with a freezing capacity of 70 tonnes of fish per day, and equipment for both bottom and pelagic trawling.
