Norwegian operator Seistar Holding has placed an order for two live fish carriers from Turkey's Cemre Shipyard.

The DNV GL-classed, Salt Ship-designed 110-metre and 69-metre vessels will be capable of environment-friendly operations and will be used primarily in the waters off Western Norway.

The bigger of the two vessels will have a total fish hold capacity of 8,000 cubic metres and a deadweight of 12,000 tonnes, making it the largest live fish carrier in the world upon completion.
