Russian shipyard Severnaya Verf has launched a new Project 170701 freezer trawler slated for local fishing company Norebo Group.

Kapitan Geller will have an LOA of 81.6 metres, a beam of 16 metres, a displacement of 5,500 tonnes, and a total installed power of 6.2 MW. The vessel's rated daily processing and freezing capacities will be 150 tonnes and 100 tonnes, respectively.

An automated palletising system will help shorten unloading times as well as reduce the risk of damage to the processed fish product.

Kapitan Geller will be operated by Norebo subsidiary Rybprominvest following its scheduled completion in early 2022.
