First steel cut for Norebo’s eighth Project 170701 trawler

Russian shipyard Severnaya Verf has cut the first steel for the eighth Project 170701 factory trawler ordered by local seafood company Norebo Group.

The vessel will have a length of 81.6 metres, a beam of 16 metres, and a freezing capacity of up to 230 tonnes per day.

The trawler will be operated by Norebo subsidiary Akros. It will be used to fish for pollock, herring, cod, and squid in the waters off the Russian Far East.
