Vard has secured a contract for the design and construction of one stern trawler for Norwegian fishing company Nergård Havfiske.
The vessel will be the second in a series that Vard will build for Nergård Havfiske. The first vessel is in the final stages of construction and is scheduled for delivery before the end of the month.
The new trawler will have a length of 80 metres, a beam of 17 metres, and diesel mechanical and diesel electric propulsion. The hull will be built at Vard Braila in Romania while outfitting will take place at Vard Brattvaag in Norway.
Delivery of the second trawler is scheduled for the first quarter of 2022.
