Shetland-based Oceanway Fishing Company recently took delivery of a new trawler from Irish builder Mooney Boats.

The BV-classed Ocean Challenge has an LOA of 28.5 metres, a moulded beam of 8.7 metres, and an ABC 6 DZC main engine that delivers a speed of 12 knots. Also installed are two Caterpillar 9.3 DITA 218kW auxiliary engines and a Caterpillar 4.4 DIT air-cooled generator set.

The newbuild will be used primarily to trawl for whitefish.
