Norwegian fishing company Havsnurp has awarded Danish shipyard Karstensens Skibsværft a contract for the construction of a new pelagic trawler.

The vessel, which will also be named Havsnurp, is the second newbuilding ordered by the same owner from Karstensens. It will have a length of 70 metres, a beam of 15 metres, and a 4,640kW main engine.

Delivery is scheduled for October 2023. The hull will be built at Karstensen's facilities in Poland while completion will take place in Denmark.
