Turkish yard delivers seiner/trawler to Norway’s Liegruppen

A new hybrid-powered seiner/trawler built in Turkey has been delivered to Norwegian fishing vessel operator Liegruppen.

Developed by Salt Ship Design and classed by DNV GL, Libas has a length of 86.5 metres, a MAN 6,000kW LNG-powered main engine, and a 500kWh battery capacity. The vessel also has an RSW tank capacity of 2,830 cubic metres.

The newbuild is equipped for purse seining and for both double and single trawling.
