Stadyard wins contract for seine netter

Austevoll-based Nye Radek has contracted Norwegian shipbuilder Stadyard to construct its new fishing vessel.

Due for delivery in June 2020, the Rolls-Royce-designed Radek is equipped to combine purse seining, trawling and seine netting.

The 47.70-metre LOA Radek will have a beam of 12.60 metres and a depth to the main deck of five metres.

It will feature a 500-cubic-metre carrying capacity in eight refrigeration sea water system tanks and a 120-cubic-metre fuel capacity.

There is accommodation for up to 12 people in six single-berth and three two-berth cabins.
