A platform supply vessel (PSV) operated by Canadian marine services company Atlantic Towing has been deployed to attempt to locate any trace of a crab boat that had gone missing along with four crew off the coast of St. Lawrence in Ontario late last month.
Atlantic Towing's Paul A. Sacuta has begun scouring the area where the crab boat Sarah Anne was believed to have sunk after the Canadian Coast Guard suspended its own search for the missing vessel on May 27.
The crew of Paul A. Sacuta has also been tasked with attempting to locate one of the missing fishermen after the bodies of the three other crew on Sarah Anne were recovered from the water on May 26, one day after the ill-fated vessel sailed out to sea for the last time.
The Canadian Armed Forces and a number of private companies have also deployed some of their assets in the search effort.
