Turkish yard completes new seiner/longliner for Norway’s Østerfjord

Turkey's Tersan Shipyard has completed construction of a new longliner and Danish seiner for Norwegian fishing company Østerfjord.

The 67-metre newbuild, which is also named Østerfjord, is equipped with a hybrid propulsion system that can operate on diesel mechanical, diesel-electric, or pure electric mode. The onboard facilities include a moonpool, a fish processing plant, and accommodations spaces for 23 personnel.

Design work was provided by Marin Teknikk.

Østerfjord will depart on its delivery voyage to Norway before the end of December.
