Denmark's Karstensens Skibsværft has been contracted to build a new factory longliner for fishing company Polarbris, a subsidiary of Norway's Atlantic Seafish.

The 43-metre newbuilding, which will also be named Polarbris, will be fitted with an azimuth thruster, electric winches, a shelter deck with a processing area, and freezing and cooling equipment.

Construction will take place at Karstensens' yard in Poland and will be completed by August 2023.
