Finnish aluminium boatbuilders Kewatec AluBoat and Weldmec Marine have entered into an agreement wherein Kewatec will acquire all shares of Weldmec, including the majority of the shares in Norwegian daughter company Martec.
The two companies said the merger will make them better equipped to serve customers in the passenger vessel, aquaculture, and offshore energy markets, especially in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
The closing of the merger is expected to take place during the autumn of 2020.
