Aquaculture company Mowi Scotland has proposed a plan to develop the harbour facility at Carradale in Scotland's Argyll and Bute council area.

The company's investment would see the construction of a purpose-built shorebase, storage facilities, and a new pontoon.

Mowi recently purchased buildings adjacent to Carradale Harbour for its new proposed facilities, which will incorporate a farm manager's office and a separate support building for storage and staff welfare activities.

Also proposed is a new pontoon where boat owners and fishers can berth, organise, and maintain their boats.

Architectural firm Ann Nisbet Studio has been appointed to undertake the masterplan works.

A community engagement process will be conducted as the project develops. Mowi said this process will help identify where new amenities and facilities could be established to cater to both local residents and visitors.
