Norwegian boatbuilder Salthammer Båtbyggeri (SHB) recently handed over a new bleeding and service boat to local aquaculture services provider Charvest. C Provider is the second vessel to be built by SHB for the same owner.

The Møre Maritime-designed vessel measures 19 by four metres. It is primarily operated as a bleeding boat but may also be employed as a service boat capable of towing and cargo transport. The open aft deck can transport mobile fish tanks that will be offloaded for later transport to Charvest's onshore processing facilities.

A hybrid propulsion system includes a 950kWh battery pack that will enable emission-free operations for sustained periods. A Scania DI16 300kW will propel the vessel to higher service speeds.

The onboard processing equipment suite includes a vacuum plant and a washing system from Cflow, a Nanoice ice maker, and a fish handling system from Optimar. The vessel also boasts safety equipment from Viking Norsafe and a fire extinguishing system from Nortronik.
