Vane Brothers’ newest tug floated out

Salisbury, Maryland-based Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corporation recently launched a new tug ordered by Vane Brothers of Baltimore.

Rock Hall is the third steel-hulled tug in a series to be built by Chesapeake for Vane Brothers.

Once completed, the vessel will have a length of 28.6 metres, a beam of 10.3 metres, a depth of three metres, and two Catepillar 3512 EPA Tier IV-compliant diesel engines with a total installed power of 2,237 kW.
