Seabulk Towing orders four tugs from Alabama builder

Seacor subsidiary Seabulk Towing has contracted Alabama-based Master Boat Builders for the construction of four 80-tonne bollard pull harbour tugs.

Two of the tugs will be equipped with diesel mechanical and electric motor propulsion systems with arrangements that will allow for the future installation of batteries. These vessels will be operated in the US Gulf of Mexico and the US East Coast.

All four tugs will be delivered beginning in the second half of 2021 through early 2022.
