New Orleans-based Plimsoll Marine, a subsidiary of the Cooper Group of Companies, has taken delivery of the fourth vessel in a series of pusher tugs built by local shipyard Master Marine.

The Entech-designed Steel Skipper will be operated primarily on the Lower Mississippi River.

The tug measures 67 by 28 feet (20.4 by 8.5 metres) and is powered by two Mitsubishi 803hp (598kW) diesel engines. The deck equipment includes two winches from Wintech International.

The crew of six will be housed in three staterooms. The other accommodation spaces include baths and a full galley.
