Louisiana-based Main Iron Works has won an order for a new ASD tractor tug from Bisso Towboat.
The tug will be powered by two Caterpillar 3516E 2,240kW EPA Tier IV-compliant engines that deliver an estimated bollard pull of 78 tonnes.
Construction will commence in August 2020 with delivery expected in the early autumn of 2021. The vessel will be the fifth ASD tractor tug to be built by Main Iron Works for Bisso.
