Florida Marine Transporters recently took delivery of a new inland towboat from Steiner Shipyard.

The Sterling Marine-designed newbuild has been named David Goin after a senior port captain at Florida Marine. It has a length of 30.4 metres, a beam of 10.3 metres, a draught of 2.6 metres, a crew of seven, and two MTU 12V4000 1,190kW diesel engines.

David Goin is the first of 11 vessels that Florida Marine has ordered from Steiner. The Alabama-based shipyard is set to deliver an additional four 26-metre and six 23-metre towboats to the Louisiana operator.
