KNOT, PetroChina ink long-term shuttle tanker contract

NYK Group company Knutsen NYK Offshore Tankers (KNOT) has entered into a long-term time charter agreement with PetroChina International America.

The object of the charter will be a 154,000DWT Suezmax shuttle tanker, which will be built by COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard in China. The vessel will be used to shuttle crude oil produced in waters off Brazil.

The charter will commence in 2022 and will have a firm period of 10 years.
