Keel laid for new self-unloading bulker for Interlake Steamship

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding laid the keel for a new self-unloading bulk carrier on Tuesday, June 23.

The 194- by 23-metre vessel is being built for Great Lakes operator The Interlake Steamship Company. It will be named Mark W. Baker after Interlake's current president.

Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the middle of 2022.
