Eagle Bulk Shipping has purchased three 2011-built Supramax bulk carriers from an unnamed seller.

The ships, which will be renamed Montauk Eagle, Newport Eagle, and Sankaty Eagle, were all constructed at China's Yangzhou Dayang Shipbuilding and are sister ships to 17 other Supramax bulk carriers in Eagle's existing fleet.

The additional vessels are all expected to be delivered to the Eagle Bulk fleet between March and May of this year.
