US-based Windstar Cruises has confirmed that its fleet of six vessels will resume revenue sailings in September 2020 following the suspension of operations due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The first vessel to resume sailing will be the 148-passenger Wind Spirit, which is scheduled to depart for Tahiti on September 3.
The 342-passenger Wind Surf will return to the Caribbean in November while the 148-passenger Wind Star (pictured) will resume serving its Costa Rica and Panama Canal itineraries in January 2021. Both these vessels are expected to head to the Mediterranean in April.
Meanwhile, the 312-passenger vessel Star Breeze will resume operating in October to take up the cancelled Asia, Australia, and New Zealand voyages of sister vessels Star Legend and Star Pride. The latter ships are not scheduled to sail again until March and July 2021, respectively.
