Royal Caribbean International has sold two of its vessels to an undisclosed third party based in the Asia-Pacific region.

The objects of the sale are the 1990-built Empress of the Seas (pictured) and the 1991-built Majesty of the Seas. Both vessels were built by French shipyard Chantier de l'Atlantique.

Prior to being sold, Empress of the Seas was the oldest active ship in the Royal Caribbean fleet.

Royal Caribbean added that the ships' new owner will release details on future sailings at a later time.
