T. Mariotti lays keel of expedition ship Seabourn Venture

Italian shipyard T. Mariotti has laid the keel of the first purpose-built ultra-luxury expedition vessel ordered by US-based cruise company Seabourn.

The PC6 Polar classed vessel, which will be named Seabourn Venture, will have 132 oceanfront suites as well as onboard space for two small custom-built submersibles each capable of accommodating one pilot and six passengers.

Seabourn Venture is scheduled to enter service in 2021.
