Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri has floated out the third cruise ship in a series order from the company by Norwegian Cruise Line.
Upon completion, the 1,056GT Norwegian Aqua will be 10 per cent larger than its two earlier Prima-class sisters to accommodate a greater number of onboard amenities. Features will include a roller coaster, a digital sports complex, an outdoor promenade, and three-bedroom suites.
The ship is scheduled to debut in April 2025. Initial sailings in 2025 will include seven-day Caribbean itineraries departing from Port Canaveral in Florida and stops at the Dominican Republic, the British and US Virgin Islands, and the Bahamas.
Following the Caribbean season, Norwegian Aqua will offer five and seven-day voyages to Bermuda from New York City from August through October 2025 and then cruise five- and seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries from Miamifrom October 2025 through April 2026.
