Keel laid for LNG-powered Disney Cruise Line ship

German shipyard Meyer Werft laid the keel for the lead vessel of a new series of three cruise ships at its Papenburg facilities on Thursday, April 8.

The vessel will be named Disney Wish and will be operated by US-based Disney Cruise Line. Its maiden voyage is scheduled for the summer of 2022.

Disney Wish will have a gross tonnage of 144,000, 1,250 staterooms, and LNG propulsion.
