French shipbuilder Chantiers de l'Atlantique has been awarded a contract to construct and deliver the seventh cruise ship in a series ordered by the Royal Caribbean Group.

The seventh Oasis-class ship will be handed over to Royal Caribbean International in 2028. The order is contingent upon financing, which Royal Caribbean expects will be completed later this year.

As with its Oasis-class sisters, the new ship will have a length of 362 metres, a beam of 66 metres, and capacity for 6,800 passengers and 2,400 crewmembers.
